One day, a king went for a walk in his royal garden after a long time. To his surprise, he found that all the trees and plants looked withered and lifeless.

Worried, he began asking each tree the reason for its sorrow.

The oak tree said it was dying because it wasn’t as tall as the cedar.
The king then looked at the cedar, but its branches were drooping too—it was sad because it couldn’t bear fruit like the grapevine.
The grapevine was dying because it couldn’t bloom like the rose.

As the king walked further, he finally noticed one tree that looked fresh, content, and full of life.

The king asked, “This is strange! I’ve seen one magnificent tree after another sad and withered, but you seem so joyful—how is this possible?”

The tree replied,
“Your Majesty, all the other trees are unhappy because they keep comparing themselves with others instead of appreciating their own uniqueness.

But I’ve accepted that when you planted me here, you must have wanted me to grow and beautify the garden in my own special way.
If you had wanted oaks, roses, or grapes in this spot, you would have planted them instead.

So rather than trying to become someone else, I focus on being the best version of myself—and that’s why I am happy.”

Moral:
We often make the mistake of comparing ourselves to others and undervaluing our own worth.
Instead of being inspired, we end up feeling sad thinking, “Why am I not like them?”

But the truth is—each of us possesses some unique talent that others don’t.
We just need to recognize it, develop it, and use it to succeed in our own field.

If we truly believe in ourselves, others will begin to believe in us too.
A person’s biggest weakness is underestimating their own value.
It’s good to know our shortcomings—it helps us understand where we need to grow.

Always focus on your strengths and your potential. Remember—you are far more capable than you think. Great success comes to those who constantly set higher goals and strive to improve themselves.

Always stay content—what you have is enough.
He who is joyful in heart possesses everything.
